Bye 2008, and hi 2009.
Yeah 2008 practically sucked so of course it'd be nice to bid it farewell. but of course you can't deny the numerous lessons learnt, the new experiences gained, the wonderful friends made. lessons and experiences were learnt mostly by the hard way. i remember - or rather everyone would - this particular incident which kinda turned the class upside down. i swear if there was a disaster countdown, that would be the first. weird as it seems, everytime i reminisce about 2008, that very incident would be the first to arrive in my mind lol. yeah and talking about counting down, truth be told i wasn't even excited/happy like anything any hyped people would do about welcoming 2009. i just turned on the tv at like 11:55, see them countdown, then switched it off. you know. counting down for the sake of counting down. in other words, the very very first minutes of 2009 sucked, too. the following hours were spent sms-ing hny and yada.
heh i have this feeling that 2009 will suck. yeah i wonder how many times i would use that word in this post. okay seriously. why do so many people think this way? is it because 2008 was just another 'wasted' year of their lives that they have given up hope on the upcoming year? or is it that they have grown to think that 2009 would be just another year, and there is nothing to be exhilarated about. in other words, they don't care, just like yours truly.
so. school started on 2 jan and i'm like saying this 5 days later.. how late. first day of school was pretty unusual cause of the new school, the marching back, the new batches of sec ones - oh yeah welcome to hell - and all. guides on duty. wore that frigging uniform running around the school..you know. very sian-y. 102 remained 202, didn't go up or down. good thing, i guess. oh yes signed up for the YOG run yay that's probably the good thing of the day apart from all the joking around.
second day of school was so traumatising. there was this invisible current of solemnity that kind of scared me. 2009 is so going to be a stressful year. hell yeah i swear. aside from that, there's actually nothing much. its the same old teachers, same freaks you see around everyday. same dm lol. new classrooms, new experiences awaiting, and of course, the well-known - new STRESS. god why am i feeling so stressed on the first day of school that i could only sleep for like 2 hours? ....
third and fourth day of school was pretty fun though. i went around guailaning the sec ones. oh yeah i identify them by their shirts - so freaking clean and bright white. and the absence of their nametags. lol. i went up to this boy and said "hey i saw you before right?" that boy cocked his head to a side. "at the drugstore....remember?" then gigi had to ruin the fun by pulling me away and apologising, saying i'm crazy. lol.
did a lot of other crazy things which i can't seem to recall. oh yeah did i mention, my memory seems to be deproving by a whole lot. really. omg.. oh and for chinese this year, we are going to memorise chinese poems and ming ju which apparently dont make sense to me at all. and mo xie's coming up tomorrow on a couple of them. to me it JUST doesn't make sense periodd.
back to topic. guailaning sec ones. so today at the balcony - oh i like that place, there are a couple of them actually - we looked down and kept calling people "oi! -a characteristic they have-" usually ending which a 'de'. lol okay i dont think you'd understand but it was really absurd. remember once i screamed 'oh my god! gays!" at two sec ones walking side by side lol. then i squat down and hid. haha. can't helping lmao-ing at their expressions.
oh and there's the new seating arrangement. we chose it ourselves actually. so as usual, we were sitting at the back. forever joking with those guys, forever being stared at by teachers, and forever not giving a damn what they think and continue laughing hahah. i wonder how its going to look on my testimonial omg hahah. we found ways to stick the duster to the board so the teacher can't use. to somehow get the teacher out through the window. insulting them. making fun of what they say. insulting them no matter how innocent they really are. haha its fun. but what about my karma? oops. -i hear ppl laughing-.
i guess its a mixture of both. part of it would be dull and boring, so emo-ish and stressful mugging. (ahhh). part of it would be fun. more guts, more daring. added list of adventures, dares, and not forgetting the scoldings which comes in a package. everything equates to more fun. it's like a kaleidoscope really.
all right shall end here. spare myself more time, and spare your eyes. i think i'm going to mug.
These wounds won't seem to heal; this pain is just too real.
